Undoubtedly, Jannik Sinner had the the best season of his career where he will also be finishing as the ATP World number 1. Sinner's former fitness coach back to work
There has already been a lot of drama in this doping controversy, but there is still a lot more drama left as Sinner former coach Umberto Ferrrera is back working in the ATP scene with none other than Jannik Sinner's fellow compatriot and 2021 Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini. The former World number 6 just split up with his previous coach and getting Ferrera into the mix. The fact that Ferrera was the one who made the mistake with the spray which resulted in Sinner failing his doping tests will not gel well with the fans.
The fact that Berrettini was one of the biggest supporters of Sinner during the whole scandal and is also a great friend of the 2-time Grand Slam winner makes this situation really awkward. We know that Berrettini has been suffering with a lot of injuries during his career and to see him team up with one of the most controversial coaches will not make him a popular figure amongst the fans and traditionalists in the sport. We hope that there is no hard feelings between the two Italian team mates in the future.
