The last tournament we saw Jannik Sinner was in the US Open finals where he beat Taylor Fritz in straight sets to get his hands on his 2nd Grand Slam title and win his maiden Grand Slam title at Flushing Meadows. Aunt Meggi passes away

There are plenty of reasons why Sinner deserves to celebrate this season, but unfortunately on this occassion it is a very sad moment for him and his family. Sinner during his victory speech had dedicated his US Open trophy to his ailing aunt Meggi Rauchegge. The most heartbreaking news has even come out recently that Sinner's aunt has recently passed away at the age of 56 with the family issued a statement saying "We will accompany our dear Meggi on Tuesday, September 24th, at 1:45 p.m. from the hospital church to the parish church of Villabassa for the farewell service. The burial of the urn will take place at a later time in the closest circle of family and friends."

This might be very sad moment for the Italian sensation but we should also look at the bright side that dear Aunt Meggi has gone from this World taking the happy memory of her nephew winning the US Open title and dedicating the win to her. This will be the last iconic memory which she would have cherished and the best thing Sinner could do for her before her passing.
