World No. 1 tennis player Jannik Sinner wins the Australian Open Grand Slam for the second time as he defeats the German and world no 2 Alexander Zverev in the men's singles finals. Sinner was too good for the German to handle as he had no answers to score points against him. He became the second player to defend his Grand Slam title after Rafael Nadal.

The Italian started strong in the first set by winning by 6-3. Zverev made too many mistakes and the defending champion took that as an advantage. In the second set, the German fought back by leading  6-5 but again Sinner was outstanding as he closed the set with 7(7)-6(4) in a tiebreak.

The Third set was again an easy win for Sinner as he defeated Zverev by 6-3 and won the Australian Grand Slam for the second time. With this win, he now adds three Grand Slams to his name. Last year he won the Australian Open and the US Open Grand Slams. He has the biggest chance to win the calendar Grand Slam and career Grand Slam before Carlos Alcaraz.

Sinner Breaking records

He became the only player after Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to win a Grand slam without losing a set. Sinner looks like a generational player as his way of improvising his game between the sets is phenomenal. The 2024 was a huge success for him as he won most of the matches he played and continued the same momentum into 2025 by winning the Australian Open championship. This year will be tough for his opponents as Sinner looks unbeatable by many standards.

With this loss zverev's hunt for a Grand Slam is still a dream. He should look at his results and think of improving his game. The younger generation players like Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are way ahead. Jannik Sinner showed complete discipline and controlled aggression which is helping him. He now has 2 Australian Open and one US Open Grand Slam. Jannik still needs to win the Wimbledon and French Open titles, which are very different to the hard courts of Australia and the US.
