Tennis sensation Elena Rybakina has expressed her displeasure at the WTA's decision to uphold the ban on her former head coach, Stefano Vukov, after an investigation into his misconduct. The investigation highlighted that Vukov's suspension might remain in place, but the organisation has not discussed the reason for his ban.
The WTA has conducted an independent investigation into a potential breach of its code of conduct by Stefano Vukov. After the conclusion, the WTA confirmed that Vukov's suspension was in place in this case. However, they have refrained from providing details to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the investigation.

Following the same, the world number six, who is currently in the Qatar Open 2025 in Doha, stated that she was extremely disappointed with the situation and how the process went. The 25-year-old star said that she wouldn't comment on such a matter and right now focuses on her matches. Concerns have been raised over many years concerning Vukov's behaviour towards the Russian star, both on and off the field.

“I'm just disappointed with the situation and how the process went. I'm not going to comment much on that any more. I’m focusing on my matches, and when I go on the court, I'm thinking only about the way I need to play, so I'm concentrating on myself and also, of course, on the opponent. Definitely it's not the best time, but as I said, I'm always focusing on my matches and want to perform as best as I can," Elena Rybakina said.
