The ITF is to make some changes in the upcoming 2025 season as they have finally allowed off-court coaching in the tournaments. One of the biggest decisions made by the organisation stated that this would make the game more fairer and entertaining with some regulations to these new rules. The 2024 season of tennis is slowly coming to an end, but the 2025 season is still going to be one of the most hyped years with a lot of young players coming up the ranks. Off-court coaching becomes legal
Several trials were going on the matter of off-court coaching. The practice of Off-Court coaching has not been allowed by the organisations. Off-court coaching is when the coach or captain is allowed to give some advice to the players in between the points.
There were a lot of people who were against it since it could cause a lot of problems and create some interruptions in the sport as well. According to the ITF, they say that this will make the game more entertaining and will make the game fair, but there might be a lot of players that will have a big problem with this rule change going forward.
Some of the traditionalists and experts would be against this rule because according to them the beauty of the game of tennis is that once you are on the court you are on your own. The idea of the coach being allowed to get involved is a huge change and there is no doubt this rule will cause a huge debate among the fans and experts around the world.
