Italian Open: Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Alex de Minaur head-to-head preview

These matches are regarded as the battle of the greats who are some of the best players in the season competing against each other.

That is exactly what we are expecting from the round 4 match between Greek god Stefanos Tsitsipas and upcoming Aussie player Alex de Minaur. These two players have had some great matches this season already. Tsitsipas has already won an ATP 1000 tournament this season and made it to the Barcelona Open finals and de Minaur has made it to the knockouts of some tournaments as well. 

The battle of high-ranked players

These two players are currently top 20 ranked ATP players with Tsitsipas placed at number 6 and Alex de Minaur placed at number 11. These two players are also known for their all-round skills on the court as well. However, even with this similarity it has been Tsitsipas who has come out on top in the head-to-head battles. These players have faced each other in 11 encounters of which Tsitsipas has won 10. Even though it has been the Greek who has been more dominant, De Minaur will be confident that he had got the better of Tsitsipas in the last encounter at Acapulco.

This still has a chance to bee a great encounter between the two talented players. While Tsitsipas has been in form in this ATP tour, but de Minaur has caused a lot of upsets in this tournament as well and has beaten some world-class players. It does seem like Stefanos will be the favourite to win this game, but we cannot ignore the ability of the Aussie who has been equally exceptional in this tour as well.
