The clay season has given us a lot of surprises this season. The Italian Open has gone down the same route once again where most of our favourite ATP players have already been eliminated in the most surprising fashion. Along with this, we have even witnessed some great matches between some talented individuals as well. These are the matches that have made us fall in love with the game this season.

The third-round game between Alex de Minaur and Felix Auger Aliassime was a game which might not be a high-profile match, but still had a lot of potential to be a great watch in the tournament. De Minaur might have been a top 10 player and has already impressed us with his all-round game, but he was yet to get a victory over Felix who was the runner-up in Madrid. This was the game that had the potential to be a thriller and reignite some rivalry.

De Minaur gets his redemption

These two players had been involved in two encounters two years ago where Felix Auger Aliassime got the better of the Aussie in the Davis Cup finals and Cincinnati. With de Minaur being in great form it was up to him to show that he is a much better player this season. The match started in a great fashion where both these young players were battling it out in the first which came down to a tiebreaker where Felix came out on top. This was testing times for De Minaur once again and he had to make a big comeback which he did in great fashion making the important break in the second set to come back in the match.

It was down to the last set and it was De Minaur who finally got his redemption and made one of the best comebacks in the tournament. This was the redemption de Minaur had waited two years to get back at Felix in his career. With this de Minaur has officially made it to the fourth round of the tournament. He has shown once again in this match why he is one of the upcoming talents destined to make a big impact.
