The Italian Open is getting close to the playoffs and there are a lot of great matches coming up tomorrow in the WTA women's single 1000. This will be the last and final round to see who could make the playoffs of this great tournament which includes some of the top players in the tour right now. This is once again turning out to be the battle of the best just like the concluded Madrid Open we witnessed.

Plenty of great matches are coming up, and everyone would like to see it between world number 1 Iga Swiatek and 3-time grand slam winner Angelique Kerber. Swiatek has been in great form and kept herself at the top for a long time and has been playing some of her best tennis so far. On the other hand, the Kerber is still looking to find her feet and will be looking to end her struggle and get back to her best form.

Current vs Former world number 1 in quest for quarters

This match could still be interesting and seeing the surprises we are getting this clay season we surely can't take any match for granted. This will also be the battle between the current and the former world number 1 in the game. Swiatek is arguably the favourite of the two on current form and has just comeback from winning in Madrid. She is also yet to lose to Kerber in a tennis match since she has won the two encounters in the 2022 Indian Wells and the United Cup. Let us see what will be another dominating victory for the Pole or 3rd time will be the good luck charm Angelique Kerber needs going forward.

This clash has a lot of stories to tell and we will be looking forward to this match and see who comes out on top. There is no doubt that in terms of performance, it will be Swiatek who will be the favourite, but we still cannot ignore the likes of Kerber who also has enough experience to get over the top-ranked player of the season and secure a playoff spot.
