Djokovic expressed his happiness about this reunion on social media, highlighting that the encounter not only added a positive dimension to his travels but also created a cherished memory he will hold dear for years to come.

Novak meets his old friend in Doha 

Novak Djokovic was in Doha to celebrate his partnership with Qatar Airways. The accomplished 24-time Grand Slam champion was officially introduced as the brand's global ambassador at the Altitude Wellness Centre, located within the Al Maha Qatar Airways Crew Accommodation Building. 

Djokovic's visit to Doha wasn't just noteworthy for his tennis achievements; it also featured a touching reunion with a childhood friend that captured significant attention. 

During his stay, Djokovic took the opportunity to tour Qatar Airways’ impressive fleet, including the iconic A380. He shared a snap on his IG story, posing with the pilots. In his subsequent story, he showcased a moment of joy, laughing as he looked at another pilot’s phone.

“Met the captain. Turns out we played tennis together as kids. You won’t believe the photo he showed me,” the Serb wrote.

In the subsequent story, he shared a nostalgic photo of himself alongside the pilot on a tennis court. This glimpse into his early teenage years was met with appreciation from Djokovic’s fans.

“We haven’t changed a bit. Aged 12 and 14 at Niki Pilic Tennis Academy. Crazy coincidence. Great to see you again, my friend,” he captioned.
