WTA players Emma Raducanu, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff recently attracted attention on the purple carpet at the players' celebration for the 2025 Dubai Tennis Championships. The WTA 1000 event, which is set for February 16–22, will see the players compete for the prized trophy. Swiatek is in the bottom side of the draw, while world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is the top seed competing. At the WTA 1000 tournament in Dubai, both athletes will be vying for their first championships.
However, the pair will have to contend with fierce opposition from players like Jessica Pegula, Elena Rybakina, Gauff, and reigning champion Jasmine Paolini. At the Dubai Tennis Championships, the players recently took a break from the ongoing competition to attend the lavish players' party. Wearing a beautiful blue blouse and wide-legged denim jeans, Coco Gauff looked put together. For a flash of color, she accessorized her ensemble with a purse with a red and white cherry pattern.
In the meantime, Iga Swiatek wore the timeless white shirt and blue denim combo, accessorizing her carefree style with white sneakers and sparse makeup. Emma Raducanu wore a black top and beige shorts to dress down, Belinda Bencic looked chic in an off-white dress with a halter neck, and Anastasia Potapova stood out in a bright yellow maxi dress. Although Zheng Qinwen, Jessica Pegula, and Elena Rybakina all chose stylish white tops, they each looked a unique twist with different ensemble combinations.
Coco Gauff to face McCartney Kessler at Dubai Tennis Championships
After a first-round loss, No. 3 seed Coco Gauff will play McCartney Kessler in an all-American match to start her Dubai Tennis Championships campaign. Kessler defeated Amanda Anisimova 6-2, 6-3 to secure her spot in the second round, and if Gauff wins her tournament opener, she will face the winner of Emma Raducanu vs. Karolina Muchova in the third round. Raducanu has started her campaign at the WTA 1000 event well, defeating Maria Sakkari 6-4, 6-2 after earning wild card entry to the main draw.
After Victoria Azarenka defeated Anhelina Kalinina 2-6, 7-6(4), 6-4, Iga Swiatek will play Azarenka in her first round on the opposite side of the draw. Swiatek will play either Anastasia Potapova or Dayana Yastremska in the third round, and then she might play Zheng Qinwen in the quarterfinals.
