There have been a lot of tennis players who are talented but have not reached the potential they should have in the game. One of the players struggling with this problem is World number 11 and two-time Grand Slam finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas. There was a time when the Greek God as he is called by his fans was among the favourites to take the mantle after the big three, but unfortunately, he has not been able to live up to his potential in this game at all and has not been in the best of form in this season as well.

The most Tsitsipas has achieved this season is a win in Monte Carlo during the Clay season. Even recently he has not been in the best of forms where he has lost some big matches as well. The Greek superstar has failed to perform under pressure and his last two tournaments include a disappointing loss to Emil Ruusuvuori in Wimbledon and a loss to Djokovic in the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics 2024. It is safe to say that the Greek has not avoided choking in the crucial moments of the game even today.

Tsitsipas launches outburst on his father

The disappointing performances of Tsitsipas did not only end there as he even went on to lose in his second-round match against the unseeded Kei Nishikori in Montreal as well. This saw the Greek God lose in straight sets and resulted in an early exit from the ATP 1000 tournament. This was another underwhelming performance from the former world number 3 and after this loss, the controversies have already started this time featuring Tsitsipas's father and coach and coach Apostolos Tsitsipas. After the loss, Tsitsipas launched a terrible outburst on his father and coach where he criticised him thoroughly saying

" I'm really disappointed at him. I really don't know right now if I'd consider any changes, but I'm really disappointed. " This statement itself has caused a lot of waves on social media as well regarding the player. Tsitsipas further added on Apostolos role as a coach saying " I'm really disappointed at him. I really don't know right now if I'd consider any changes, but I'm really disappointed. The most important thing for a player is to have direct and good feedback from a coach. " With this statement, it is clear that the camp on Tsitsipas's side does not seem to be running perfectly at all.
