Tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz discussed facing Jannik Sinner in the Italian Open 2025 final. Notably, this marks their first meeting this year. Alcaraz and Sinner last played the Australian Open 2025 together, where the former crashed out in the quarter-finals while Sinner defended his title in Melbourne Park. Thereafter, Sinner accepted a three-month doping ban before marking his comeback in Rome.
The 22-year-old Alcaraz stated that playing against Sinner will be a daunting task for him, thanks to his stupendous form after his return to the court. The four-time Grand Slam winner stated that their match will be the difficult one, but he is staying positive with a lot of confidence at this moment to defeat the Italian star here.
“It could be great, I’m not going to lie. Who knows? He’s playing great. I’ve been watching his matches. His level is really high right now. It’s going to be a really difficult challenge. But let’s see. Who wins tonight deserves to be in the final. It going to be a really difficult one. I say so many times, I don’t want to think about it. All I can say is, I’m feeling great. I have a lot of confidence right now,” Carlos Alcaraz said.
