Although the 2024 season has ended, the doping controversies surrounding ATP number one Jannik Sinner and WTA number two Iga Swiatek show no signs of fading at all, even in 2025. However, despite the tennis fraternity having divided opinions, star player Alexander Bublik shared his own perspective, drawing an unexpected parallel to a dialogue from the movie Kung Fu Panda. While his stance remains unapologetically bold, the ATP star chose not to align at all with star player Nick Kyrgios, offering a surprise yet measured take on the ongoing doping saga.
The Russian-born star had an intriguing take on Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner's doping controversy. The WTA number two, Iga Swiatek, tested positive for trimetazidine, which entered her system through contaminated melatonin. After failing in the doping test in August, Iga Swiatek received an immediate one-month ban from ITIA.
However, she claimed her innocence from the beginning, and upon that, she returned to the side in December. On the flip side, Sinner has tested positive for clostebol in March 2024, which had entered his body when Sinner's physiotherapist had massaged him. The Italian ATP star achieved eight days of the suspension, and his 2024 Indian Wells prize money was stripped off.
Meanwhile, Iga Swiatek and Jannik Sinner received treatments for their ordeal; the two star players could not stop the controversy that has been going on in the media for long and has now entered this new season.

"We have to improve everything and always. We are looking for new solutions every day. We think about what to do, because all tennis players train and progress. In the Kung Fu Panda movies, Master Oogway says: Accidents are not accidents, so I will answer this way. I could also say other proverbs like: there is no smoke without fire. If you take all of Nick's words, analyze them and come to conclusions, you could go crazy. I probably don't agree," Alexander Bublik said.
