Tennis sensation and world number one Aryna Sabalenka has recently opened up about her Australian Open 2025 final loss to Madison Keys after her stellar second-round victory in the ongoing Indian Wells Masters Tournament 1000.

The Belarusian revealed she was heartbroken after losing the final showdown in the first Grand Slam of the Year. The 26-year-old tennis star stated that it was extremely difficult for her to recover after the loss. Furthermore, the star player also shared her comeback journey after the loss. However, she acknowledged that she is fine now and looking to win the ongoing Indian Wells 2025.

Notably, Aryna Sabalenka suffered a defeat against Madison Keys 3-6, 6-2, 5-7. Keys had a great start to the game, showcasing her talent in the first set of the game. However, Sabalenka executed some stunning shots and kept her resilience in the second set of the game to level up their thriller.

However, Sabalenka failed to keep her winning momentum and allowed the American star to gain the advantage over her weakness in the game. Meanwhile, the star player has defeated McCartney Kessler in the second round of the Indian Wells 2025.

“Yeah, I'd say that the final in Australia I was really heartbroken. It was very difficult to recover after that one, and Middle East I was kind of like, in my thoughts, I was trying to understand. I was always thinking about that match. It was, like, probably my mistake, but I think I had to go through it.. I had to realize a couple of things. I had to kind of like step back and start everything over again. Right now, I'm definitely feeling better and that final was in the past. Just good experience, great lesson, and hopefully it will never happen again," Aryna Sabalenka said in the Indian Wells press-conference.
