Grigor Dimitrov reflected on his winning performance vs Borges
The 33-year-old player was ecstatic after storming into the Round three of the Indian Wells Masters 1000 tournament. The star player spoke about Borges's strengths and weaknesses and his tactical skill to counter him in the post-match interview after a stellar win. The Bulgarian revealed that he always tries to stay focused on his performance which helps him steal the win.
"I’m already in good shape, but nothing can replace the adrenaline of competition. Borges is a difficult opponent - I’ve played against him before and knew what to expect. There was a crazy game that lasted 18 minutes, and those points were crucial. It was a good test for my body, and the results were positive. I’m happy that I did everything I had to. I take it day by day, and what matters is making progress. I have always been a player who concentrates entirely on myself and my performance. That’s my main priority," said Dimitrov.
