Tennis sensation Jelena Ostapenko has been gearing up for the French Open 2025. The star player had a stellar clay court run and made her one of the favourites who can shock the tennis world by winning the second Grand Slam of the year. Ostapenko won the French Open in 2017 but hasn't gone beyond the third round after winning the title. She will be looking to mark a victory this time.

Ostapenko had a stellar campaign on the clay courts this year. She won the Stuttgart Open 2025 after defeating world number one Aryna Sabalenka to win the Porsche car. Thereafter, she suffered a first-round exit in the Mutua Madrid Open in the Spanish capital. However, she staged her comeback in the Italian Open 2025 but suffered a defeat against eventual winner Jasmine Paolini in the pre-quarterfinals.

Notably, Ostapenko tends to showcase her emotions openly in every match, whether they are positive or negative. Speaking about the same subject, the Stuttgart Open champion revealed that she likes the people who are emotional and showcase their emotions on the courts. She further added that she doesn't entertain boring players who do not have any emotions, whether they are positive or negative.

The Latvian star was seen giving the example of legendary player Serena Williams, who embodies all these emotions in her game. The 27-year-old tennis star aims to stage her comeback following her Italian Open defeat.

Jelena said in a video, "In general, when I watch sports, I have always liked emotional people, those who always show and share their emotions. I don't like people who just walk and don't show many emotions because it's very boring for me to watch those people doing sports. That's why I am always myself on the court. And I think that's what people like about me."

"I think Serena Williams is the best example. She embodies all those emotions, and I love that."
