There might be a lot of great players who have given us great performances in the US Open so far, but the player who looks like the clear favorite to win this title so far is Jannik Sinner. The Italian is currently the only player out of the top 3 who is still alive in the tournament and is in the form of his life. there is no doubt that the current World number one would want to continue being at his best going forward in the tournament.

There is no doubt that we have enjoyed seeing Jannik Sinner in the Grand Slam event, but we have to remember that it has not been smooth sailing for the Italian as he had to go through some serious doping charges just before the tournament. This has been one of biggest topics discussed on what the organisation should have decided.

Halep shares her views

there have also been a lot of players who have shared their opinion on this matter, but this time it was former World number one Simona Halep who came onto the scene. The two-time Grand Slam winner had discussed this matter and gave her views saying " I think it is clear that it was judged in a completely different way to my case. I suffered a lot during my whole process and I don't think it was fair that I was not allowed to compete for so long." With these words Halep made it clear that she has a problem of how this case was judged by the organisations.

Though there will be a lot of players who would agree to the Romanian while some would think that she is being salty because of her history of doping as well. Halep further stated on the matter of equality stating " I believe that all athletes should have the same judgment and be treated the same, regardless of whether they are number 1 or number 200. Though we might have to agree with Halep on some things, this still feels like a statement made out of jealousy and frustration.
