There are a lot of great competitors this season who will be the favourites to win a medal in this edition and they will certainly go for gold and give their best performances on the day.

One of the players who has had an impressive season in 2024 is Italian Jannik Sinner, also the current World Number One. Sinner started his season well, winning the Australian Open and has also won two big ATP titles as well. Sinner, without a doubt, is one of the biggest stars in the game and was certainly a favourite to medal for the Italians.

Sinner has missed out on a lot of tennis after his quarter-final exit from Wimbledon, He was set to play at Bastad but had to withdraw and take a break due to health issues. He seemed to have been enjoying his vacation after the Grand Slam event, the fans were also excited to see him in the Paris Olympics, but unfortunately, we had to come across some more bad news regarding the Italian sensation as he withdrew from the Olympics as well. It was said that the World number one was suffering from Tonsillitis and was not fit to play in the tournament at all. This is sad news since he would not have been the highest-seeded player, but was also in great form.
