'He has to win number 25' - Andrea Petkovic shares her 2025 prediction for Novak Djokovic

Tennis legend Novak Djokovic is set to enter the 2025 edition with plenty of motivation, with Grand Slam history on the cards. The tennis star has been backed to win the forthcoming Australian Open 2025 title, is slated to take place in mid-January in Melbourne, which would represent a record-extending 11th men's title at the showpiece event. The 37-year-old is out on his own with 10 wins already in Melbourne, with Roger Federer, who seems to be one of his closest rivals, with six to his name.

The Serbian suffered a crushing Grand Slam defeat in 2024, with world number one Jannik Sinner winning the title. The star player currently has 24 Grand Slam titles to his name and will undoubtedly be eyeing the all-time record next month at the 2025 Australian Open.

Novak Djokovic's legendary career caught Andrea Petkovic's attention

Meanwhile, his legendary tennis career efforts have caught the attention of former German player Andrea Petkovic. She feels that the Serbian would be giving his best in the 2025 Australian Open and Wimbledon to win his 25th Grand Slam of the year. The 37-year-old star feels that Novak Djokovic won't be giving any priority to the tournaments except these two.

"So my prediction for Novak next year is that...he will not give a flying F about any of the tournaments except the Australian Open and Wimbledon. And he will make a huge push with everything he still got left in that cute 40-year-old body of his. Will put everything into winning one of these, try to get to 25, and then get out," Andrea Petkovic said during the Rennae Stubbs Tennis Podcast.
