Tennis star Novak Djokovic recently discussed the ongoing controversy surrounding world number one Jannik Sinner's doping case. The Serbian gears up for his 2025 season at the Brisbane International in Australia and remains focused on winning his 11th Australian Open title to his illustrious tennis career. The 37-year-old tennis legend has marked his return to Brisbane after 16 years, where he thwarted Rinky Hijikata in round number 32 and entered round number 16.
Meanwhile, the Serbians' recent comments about the transparency of tennis governance have sparked widespread discussion. The world number one's doping case, which has been making bold headlines since 2024, has raised concerns about inconsistencies in how such cases have been handled.
While the young tennis sensation was cleared of wrongdoing after testing positive for a banned substance, there are still questions remaining about the transparency of the investigation process. The Serbian has joined Nick Kyrgios in demanding clearer protocols and more accountability from the tennis management regarding such matters.
The Serbian legend also backed Aussie star Nick Kyrgios, who has been vocal about the inconsistencies in how doping violations have been handled.

Nick explained very well the issues with transparency and inconsistencies in the protocols: Novak Djokovic
“I’m not questioning whether Jannik intentionally consumed something prohibited or not. Tennis is a clean sport, and I don’t believe Jannik would knowingly do such a thing. However, many players and I felt frustrated because we were kept in the dark for months. That doesn’t reflect well on the sport,” Novak Djokovic stated firmly.
“Nick explained very well the issues with transparency and inconsistencies in the protocols. There are players suspended for skipping doping tests and others waiting over a year to resolve their cases,” he added further.
