It was final time in Geneva and this was finally about to be the end of one of the most iconic ATP 250 tournaments we have ever seen. This tournament has really been really great with some great performances from some great talents and top ranked players who featured in this tournament.

The final was an interesting matchup as well where it was a world number 7 ranked player in Casper Ruud and upcoming talent in Tomas Machac. Ruud was the favourite being the 2nd seeded player and also had won the Geneva Open title twice in 2021 and 2022. However, you still couldn't take a player like Machac lightly after he beat the likes of Novak Djokovic to make it to his first Geneva Open final.

Casper Ruud wins his third at Geneva

This has been one of the best ATP tours for Casper Ruud so far where he has made it to quite a lot of finals and had also achieved to win an ATP 500 title in Barcelona which has been eluding him throughout his career. This was another great performance from the Ice Man as he wins his third Geneva Open title today. Machac did try his best in the first set, which saw a remarkable comeback from Ruud who even though had his service broken by Machac, came back valliantly and took the first set winning 7 games to 5. Unlike the 1st set the second set  was a onesided bout which saw Ruud winning the match after winning 6 games to 3 and winning a title just before the finale in Paris.

This was a wonderful victory from Ruud who did struggle a bit in this tournament losing a set in each mach, but stayed the cool and collective man and came back to win every game. The final game was the only straight victory he had in the tournament and it couldn't have come at a better time at all. This has been a great season for Ruud so far where he has won his 2nd ATP title this season. This has been an exceptional ATP tour for the Norwegian and he will only be looking onwards and upwards going into the upcoming French Open as well.
