Tennis star Novak Djokovic has been one of the best players on the ATP tour, having won 24 Grand Slam titles here. However, his awful on-court activities have been making bold headlines here. It was yet again during his opening-round clash against Mackenzie McDonald in the French Open 2025.
There was a heavy downpour in Paris, which led to the Serbian ace having a tense and fiery exchange with the chair umpire and the supervisor of the tournament. Djokovic was seen clearly wanting the organizers of the tournament to shut the roofs of the on-court Philippe-Chatrier. Despite his request, he was forced to continue his game with matches taking place on the outside courts at the same time.
This action of Novak Djokovic once again made the bold headlines in the tournament. Many tennis pundits were seen lashing out at him. Former tennis star Rennae Stubbs also took to Twitter and lashed out at the Serbian ace's behavior in the game.
"If they’re still playing on the outside courts, you should still be playing on center court. Even if you have a roof, you cannot have preference for what u want. It’s not fair to everyone else and your opponent."
Meanwhile, tennis analyst and journalist Jose Morgado also took to social media to talk about the situation.
"Raining heavier. Horrible conditions atm here. Djokovic unhappy... Chatrier roof should be closed now...," Morgado wrote.
