Tennis sensation Jack Draper has made it to the pre-quarterfinals of the French Open 2025 after defeating star player João Fonseca. The Brit star has made it into the last 16 of the Roland Garros for the first time with a stellar victory over the Brazilian star. He has already won the Indian Wells 2025 and made it to the finals of the Qatar Open and the Mutua Madrid Open. He must be aiming for his first Grand Slam glory here.
The star player is set to make it to the top four of the ATP rankings for the first time after he made it to the last 16 of the Roland Garros with a win over an 18-year-old Brazilian. He defeated Fonseca with a scoreline of 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 in just one hour and 46 minutes of play.

Chris Evert's concerns for Jack Draper despite stellar French Open run
However, tennis icon Chris Evert has talked about how Draper has been playing well and taking his play to the epitome of the level. However, she further talked about some of the concerns that will now fall on Draper while comparing it to British WTA star Emma Raducanu.
“Jack Draper, what is happening with him. He looks so fit, a good-looking boy. I’m surprised that he is playing so well on the clay. He has a lot of power in his game, but he has not be known for his consistency up to now,” began Evert, in an exclusive interview with Tennis365.
Notably, the British media reports seem very notorious for building up the hype, which pulls down their game, and Evert has talked about the same thing—that Draper can deal with that, which might affect his game and affect his ATP rankings.
"Emma is a beautiful girl and that probably didn’t help. The endorsements came in, the coaches were coming in an out and still her expectations are right up there now. She’s not there yet. She’s got to build, go back to the drawing board and build-up slowly. Maybe she had to swallow her pride a little because she’s not up there yet," she added further.
