The Nottingham Open has given us some great matches and it is now come into the playoff stage. With the first semi-final already set to be played, we are very close to getting a champion in this ATP 250 Grass season tournament. This has been a great tournament so far and it will be great to see who will emerge victorious in the end.

The main focus of this tournament is former US Open champion Emma Raducanu, who is clearly one of the favorites to win the tournament. The 21-year-old British player is making a comeback after having a tough couple of seasons in the past. This is her chance to finally make a comeback and rise up in the ranks once again and show why she was one of the top players in her teenage years.

Jones blames Raducanu for illness

Raducanu was set to play British Compatriot Francesca Jones in the quarter-finals of the tournament this season. Unfortunately, the quarter-finals could not take place which also led to Emma getting a walkover to go through to the semi-finals of the tournament due to Jones falling ill just before the match. Jones even went to make an unusually funny statement regarding Raducanu saying " We’ve spent a lot of time with each other in the last couple of weeks, to the point where we’re both actually ill and I think we’ve given it to each other. I’m going to blame her!"

This was mostly a funny comment where there was some banter from Jones. after that, she also went ahead and said that she will be looking forward to the semi-finals which will feature not one, but two of her compatriots since Katie Boulter has also made it to the semi-finals. Though this statement seems slightly childish from Jones, it has been said with fun and not seriousness and shows how the two players get along with each other. Overall we all will be looking forward to the upcoming matches as well.
