Eurosport commentator John McEnroe feels that the "electric" tennis player Carlos Alcaraz is an "incredible" asset for the sport as the Spaniard continues to draw attention with his exciting style. Notably, the young player secured his spot in the French Open's fourth round after defeating Sebastian Korda in straight sets and putting on a ball-striking clinic on the storied Court Philippe Chatrier on May 31st.

The former tennis player feels that the 21-year-old is a unique player and the most exciting player to watch in tennis at such a young age. In addition, the 65-year-old feels that he loves watching such a young kid at the epitome of the level and making the game exceptional owing to his great skill set.

Notably, Carlos Alcaraz showed why he deserves to be recognised as one of the most exciting players to watch in the game, as he had to delve deep and rely on all of his weapons to win the third round of the marquee event to place himself in Round 16. Meanwhile, McEnroe admitted that he was "worried" during the fight with Korda, but he has not concealed his devotion for Alcaraz since he burst onto the stage.

I think as his career moves along he’ll start to pull back that little bit: McEnroe

“Alcaraz is a unique individual. He’s exciting, the most fun to watch, the most athletic, and has more games than anyone I’ve ever seen his age. The guy just turned 21, unbelievable that he can do anything. I think he should have won the match the other day in straight sets but he sort of lost his way a little bit trying to do the spectacular, but I absolutely love watching this young kid play. He is electric, he is incredible for the game," McEnroe told Eurosport.
“As a matter of fact, because he can do anything, sometimes he tries the extraordinary instead of the high-percentage shot. I think as his career moves along he’ll start to pull back that little bit because he talks about wanting to excite the crowd and give the crowd its money’s worth, and sometimes it may get in the way of winning the match easier than he would normally," he added further.
