The Clay Season finale is one and there are still a lot of matches to go in this tournament. There are a lot of great matches to come as well which everyone will be looking forward to. This has already been a tournament filled with intense matches, surprising results, and interesting matchups. It will be great to see what this tournament will give us with some round-three matches still left in the tournament.

The match we will now be talking about is between Carlos Alcaraz who is the current world number 3 and one of the favourites in the tournament and talented USA player Sebastian Korda. Both these players have had a great tournament so far and have only lost one set in the entire tournament. Though Korda has been giving some great performances this season, it is the Spaniard who has one of the best records on Clay that was the clear favorite in this match.

Alcaraz reaches round four

We all know that Alcaraz is known to start his games aggressively and put pressure right away on his opponents, that is exactly what he did as he took the first set by the score of 6-4 to put his opponent on the back foot straight away. The second saw Korda trying to come back into the match which led to a grueling tiebreaker which unfortunately for Korda went in favour of Alcaraz. With 2 sets ahead the Spaniard needed to win just one more set to win the match. The last set was just too much to deal with Korda as Alcaraz takes the last one by a score of 6-4 and goes through to the next round.

This was a game where Alacarz proved too much for the American, Alcaraz was always on top in the game right from the first set. It was a great effort from Korda in the second set, but eventually, he had to bow out to the class of the Spaniard who will be going into round 4 and keep his French Open dream alive.
