Carlos Alcaraz had his head shaved in a surprising haircut that has taken social media abuzz. Following his first-round win in the US Open 2025 against Reilly Opelka, Alcaraz explained the story behind his new haircut. The Spaniard claimed that his brother cut off way too much of his hair, which led to his forced Buzz cut.

In the Press Conference after his match, Alcaraz was asked about the story behind his new haircut. The World No.2 claimed that his hair had grown long enough to be cut. He added that his brother misunderstood the machine and cut off a huge chunk of his hair. Alcaraz said that to neutralize the mistake, he had to undergo a forced Buzz cut.

"My hair was really long already, and for the tournament, I really wanted to get a haircut. Suddenly, my brother misunderstood the machine - he just cut it, and then the only way to fix it was just shave it off. To be honest, it's not that good-it's not that bad, I guess," Alcaraz said in his statement.
