The US Open has continously given us some of the most intense matches this season already. Though we all are impressed seeing the performances of some players, there are some players who have found some form going into this hard court season. One of them is former World number 2 Paula Badosa. After winning in Washington Badosa had come up the rankings and is suddenly looking like a much different player.

This was evident in her recent match against Elena Gabriela Ruse as well. This was Badosa first 3rd round game in the competition and though it did not start the way it should have, she still made a solid comeback in the match. The third set saw the Spaniard perform under pressure and this was perhaps one of the most intense games we have seen in the US Open womens singles so far.

Badosa gives out a war cry

This season Badosa had been having some tough times as well and it was important for her to get some great matches and go on to give some great performances. This third round tiebreaker was one of the testing moments of her Grand Slam career and we could see how much it meant to her after finally getting a victory and giving out a loud war cry. This was an unforgettable game and it was great to see a reaction and celebration full of energy by the Spaniard after emerging victorious on the day.

This now means that Badosa will now be making it to the 4th round of the US Open for the first time and we all are happy to see her get another big win in the tournament. This would really mean a lot to her fans and her family who have seen her fight her way through this season. We hope that she keeps fighting and giving us breathtaking performances like this in the future as well.
