The Wimbledon is already underway and we have already seen some great matches so far. Though we might be looking forward to seeing how the in-form top-ranked players have been performing, there are also a few players who are making a comeback as well. These are the players who might have fallen off the rankings but are still trying to make a return to form this season.

One of the players who is on the list is Emma Raducanu, who at one time was one of the top-ranked players in the setup, but has recently fallen off the ranks in this season. But she has still had some decent tournaments and has started her Wimbledon journey with a straight victory over Lucky loser Renata Zarazua. Though she might have had some luck with Ekaterina Alexandrova withdrawing at the last minute, who was a higher-seeded player, it was still a great performance from the Britisher which puts her through to the next round.

Emma playing in the centre court ahead of Sinner: Huge debate

There is no doubt that Emma had a great performance in the match but there will be a huge debate on her playing at the centre court just ahead of World number 1 Jannik Sinner. This will be a problem since the centre court is normally where the best player in the season should be starting and that is none other than Sinner, who has been winning titles and is currently the highest-ranked and seeded player in Wimbledon 2024. The fact that Raducanu is ranked 135 overall and starting before the Italian has really got the fans to question the organisers on how they planned this out.

The centre court is where there is a maximum crowd and expectancy as well, which makes it tough for all of us to see Raducanu play on this court in front of a player who has been giving great performances and is leading the charts. There will be people looking for a lot of answers to this and there will be a lot of questions circulating on every news and social media platform.
