Tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz has quoted a motivating line from the 2006 movie 300 after winning the Italian Open fourth-round clash. The star player has defeated Karen Khachanov with a scoreline of 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 and stormed into the quarter-final clash. He then turned on his camera to write a message in the Spanish language.

The tennis world was completely baffled by his camera message after the stellar win over the Russian ATP star. Many of them were seen trying to find out the reason why and what the four-time major champion had written. Surprisingly, Alcaraz himself clarified the meaning of the quote.

"Las flechas ocultaran el sol, pues lucharemos a la sombra," he wrote.

In English, it means: "The arrows will hide in the sun, for we will fight in the shade," a quote from 300.

When asked about facing tennis star Jack Draper in quater-final clash, Carlos Alcaraz lauded Draper's performance while calling him 'the best player in the world'. The 22-year-old star player wanted to take revenge for his loss against the British star in the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

"I'm just ready. I'm just looking forward to playing against him. He's one of the best players in the world right now. The results show how good he is playing lately. Yeah, I just want to take revenge from Indian Wells. I will try to be more ready than at Indian Wells. It's going to be an interesting match to watch and to play," Carlos Alcaraz said.
