Tennis star Mirra Andreeva became the first woman who heads to the second round of the game of the ongoing 2025 Australian Open on January 12, Sunday, defeating Maria Bouzkova by 6-3, 6-3 in Melbourne Park. The 17-year-old tennis star had to work extremely hard for her great win, with the Czech player doing so well to extend the rallies and test the star player's shot tolerance.
Meanwhile, the young player rose to the challenge, striking 27 winners and dominating on return across a one-hour, 26-minute game on Day 1 of the showpiece event. The star player is now set to face the winner of Moyuka Uchijima and Magda Linette.

The young tennis star had a couple of wobbles, including the pulling out of the second serve when the ball was in midair as thunder clapped above the closed roof at the John Cain Arena, with stormy conditions having suspended much of the early park at the Melbourne Park.
However, she recovered to break and take a 5-3 lead in the second set of the thrilling game before actually going on to close it out the first time by asking her serve, toppling Bouzkova's reach to grab the stunning victory.

“I’m looking at your box and you have a Wimbledon champ as your coach. The great Conchita Martinez. She was very chill on court. Is she chill as a coach?”
Mirra: “No 😂 it depends on her mood to be honest. I would say… pic.twitter.com/L7c6glb4lx
"It depends on her mood to be honest. It depends if I work well. I would say that she's an OK coach … oh my god, I'm in trouble, we can stop. With her, I kind of became closer to fearless - before, I would never go to play a volley in match point and here I decided, why not? I decided to go for it and it's worked. Now she has a better sense of humour with me," Mirra Andreeva said on Day 1 of the Australia Open.
