It's time for the grass season for the tennis player, as the clay season has ended for yet another year. Notably, Wimbledon marks the end of the season's shortest swing era, which lasts just five weeks and starts on July 1. However, it seems that this week is being used for recovery for the top two ATP Tour players, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.

Upcoming fixtures of Carlos Alcaraz

Speaking about the 21-year-old Alcaraz here and his wins at Wimbledon and the US Open, Carlos Alcaraz won the surface Grand Slam at the French Open 2024 after defeating Alexander Zverev in the final game. However, the Spaniard will shortly be training on grass to defend his title at Queen's.

Notably, Alcaraz will be the top seed in the ATP 500 event, which gets off on June 17. Then, he is set to defend his title at Wimbledon, where he crushed former world number one Novak Djokovic in the final game. The marquee event is set to commence on July 1. Meanwhile, Alcaraz has no scheduled outings for other grass events.

What next for Jannik Sinner?

As the new world No. 1, Jannik Sinner will be dominating the field when the grass season commences. Despite losing to Alcaraz in the French Open semifinals, the Italian has surpassed Djokovic in his climb to the top. Sinner will take on the world's top seed in his debut tournament on June 17 in Halle. However, apart from the upcoming Wimbledon, where he reached the semifinals last year, he is unlikely to take part in any more intense matches.

Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz's upcoming plans for Paris Olympics 2024:

Alcaraz has said that he will play doubles with  Rafael Nadal for Spain, and both are likely to be representing their nations at the Games. Sinner may also be included in Italy's doubles. Alcaraz said winning gold this summer is more important to him than repeating as Wimbledon champion.

“The Olympic Games are every four years and it’s a special tournament where you’re not only playing for yourself but for a country, representing every Spaniard. I think this year I’d choose Olympic gold," Alcaraz said.
