The Wimbledon has begun and we are already getting a great response for this current tournament. There are some great players to watch out for in this current tournament whom we have enjoyed watching a lot. There are some great stories to tell about the players who are planning to make a comeback even though they are right now not among the top-ranked players.

The player who is still planning a comeback this season is Andy Murray who is currently one of the legendary figures in the game. The British player might not be in the best of form but still has the belief to perform in the major tournaments. Murray will be an important part of Great Britain for the upcoming Olympics as well. The fans will be eager to see how the former 3-time Grand Slam champion will perform.

Murray to not play singles

Murray was set to play his first-round singles game against the talented Czech player Tomas Machac who has the lead over the head-to-head stats against Murray. Unfortunately for the fans, the former World number 1 has pulled out of the singles completely which had disappointed everyone. This was a match every Murray fan was looking for which also had a redemption arc since he is yet to win against Machac and to do it in a Wimbledon would have been perfect.

This might not be the best news for everyone since the people wanted him to have one last hurrah as he is nearing retirement as well. However, the fans will still have something to cheer about since he has not completely withdrawn from the tournament since he will feature in the doubles with his brother and 7-time Grand Slam winner Jamie Murray. This means that he is still alive in this Grand Slam event which is something to look forward to for all the fans.
