These three have been making the news, but for all the wrong reasons right now. Novak Djokovic might still be on top of the rankings, but his season has not been the best right now. He also suffered a rare loss in the Monte Carlo Masters to Casper Ruud in the semi-finals. This might be one of the rare occasions where the Serbian powerhouse has been going through a huge trophy drought. Talking about Rafael Nadal, he has been in one of the worst phases of his career so far. This has resulted in the once-number-ranked player going down to a ranking of 646. Nadal has not been 100 per cent fit in the last two years and has even withdrawn from the current Monte Carlo. Looking at his situation it seems like El Nino’s homecoming in Barcelona might also be an issue.

Speaking of the young sensation Carlos Alcaraz, he is also going through some similar issues right now. The young superstar was set to start his clay season in now concluded Monte Carlo masters, but recently has been suffering through a hand injury that has made him withdraw from the current Barcelona Open as well. We hope that the Spaniard can come back from these issues and come back and dominate the upcoming French Open. It is safe to say that this season has been slightly underwhelming right now for these three leading men in the sport.
