The Paris Olympics will also be coming up after Wimbledon this season, Though there will be plenty of sports that will be played in the global sporting event, the sport of tennis has made a huge mark in the event. There will be many countries that will be picking their teams to compete in the event
Though there are a lot of teams who will be picking their set of tennis players, it is the Great Britain team who is in question this time as some of the players are still new to the setup right now. Though Britain has given us some great players in the past it will be interesting to see how their team looks going into Paris this season. It will be one of the teams to talk about going into one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
Who will represent Britain in tennis?
There have been some surprising picks made by Great Britain in Tennis which would also shock us as well, after all, it has been a difficult period for the team so far. The likes of Andy Murray have somehow found himself in the singles competition despite his poor form, but looking at his history in the event and being a two-time Olympic medalist, his experience could play a role. Katie Boulter, Jack Draper, and Cam Norrie are also set to make their debut in the Olympics as well. The only player who has not made a place in the team is the talented Emma Raducanu.
This might be one of the surprising exclusions as the 21-year-old has just found some form this season in the Nottingham Open even though she has missed a lot of tennis recently. Emma Raducanu might not be one of the top-ranking players right now, but with her performance in the current competition certainly deserved a chance. This team is filled with a lot of youngsters and an out-of-form Andy Murray and the inclusion of Raducanu could have given them a bit of a boost going forward. It is safe to say that this team does not really look that bad on paper, but might fail to live up to expectations if the plans do not go right.
