Notably, the WTA star Katie Boulter was seen at the Madrid Open. She registered a magnificent win over Katerina Siniakova in the opening round. However, she crashed out after their defeat against Jasmine Paolini. The Brit star was also knocked out from the doubles with her partner Daria Kasatkina.
On the other hand, Alex de Minaur has been one of the best players on the ATP tour, so he heads in as a sixth seed this time. The Aussie sensation has stormed into the third round of the Mutua Madrid Open 2025 after registering a stellar victory over Lorenzo Sonego with a scoreline of 6-2, 6-3.
Notably, his match, which was initially scheduled for April 28th, which was suspended due to a power outage and blackout in Spain, Portugal, and some parts of Europe. The residents also reported network issues with their mobile services, cutting them off from the rest of the world.
