Davidovich believed that Fonseca will go on to become the next Novak Djokovic to beat Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. After the match, Fokina spoke highly of the 19-year-old. He felt Fonseca played an unbelievable game and claimed him to be the future of the sport.

You're gonna be the next Nole to beat Carlos and Jannik for sure," said Fokina after losing the ATP 500 final in Basel to Fonseca. The Brazilian then spoke about the changed plans of his family members to watch him play.

The emerging star claimed that his parents had just arrived from Brazil and had plans to go to France to watch the Paris Masters. He claimed that his parents and uncles changed plans and arrived to watch him play just an hour before the match. He claimed his win in Basel as the most important one in his career.

"My parents have just arrived from Brazil. They were going to Paris (for the Paris Masters), but they changed their flights and arrived an hour before the match with my uncles. It's incredible to have them here for the most important title of my career," Fonseca said.
