Tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz is set to face Alex de Minaur in the final thriller of the ABN AMRO Open 2025 as he thrashed Hubert Hurkacz by 6-4, 6-7, 6-3 in a semi-final game on February 9. The Spain-born star had a hard-fought battle against the Poland star. The star player found himself trailing 3-0 in the first set of the game but kept his resilience and fought back to win the opening set despite a slow start.

However, the second set saw the two tennis stalwarts exchanging opportunities, with Alcaraz and Hurkacz having the chance to grab an early advantage in the game. However, a major double fault at 5-4 allowed Hurkacz to win the second set of the game to level up the game. Meanwhile, the third and final set has seen the 21-year-old hit his stride. The Spaniard closed out the encounter, booking his place in the final berth after a thrilling semi-final.

"It was a very tight first set. I think he had chances to make it 6-0 so I just tried to fight every ball, every point. I just tried to stay in there, keep fighting all the time and it paid off. I want to be the first Spanish player to be able to win this tournament. I'm going to go for it. I'm really happy to be able to play a final in Rotterdam," said Alcaraz.

Alex de Minaur storms into the final thriller after defeating Mattia Bellucci 

On the other hand, Aussie star Alex de Minaur has booked his place in the final thriller with an impressive straight-sets win over Mattia Bellucci. The 25-year-old star player showcased his dominance with a 6-1, 6-2 win, easing past the Italian sensation in his semi-final game.
