World number 1 Jannik Sinner reveals the player who helped him in improving his game and become one of the best players in the World this season. The Italian sensation says that it is Russian number 1 Daniil Medvedev who has helped him improve his game and become the superstar he is today.
There is no doubt that Jannik Sinner is now one of the upcoming stars in the World of tennis especially after his terrific 2024 season. However, before this Sinner did struggle to win trophies as soon as he became a pro in 2018 where though he was a prodigy he still lacked the consistency. The 2024 season saw the Italian be more consistent and win big titles whether it was a ATP 1000 or a Grand Slam event.

Sinner reveals the player that changed his game completely
Many were shocked to see Sinner dominate the season and the Italian sensation even revealed the player who was responsible behind the massive change in his game. Sinner named Daniil Medvedev as the player who motivated him to change his game completely saying, "A player who has made me grow a lot is Medvedev. I had never done serve and volley, and he forced me to practise that to try to beat him. Against some players, I have to do more of a long backhand."
This makes a lot of sense and we could see a lot of changes in his game. Before the season, Medevedev had the lead over the World number 1 but this season saw Sinner get the better of him beating him 7 times in the last 8 encounters. These two have had a great rivalry and it is no surprise to know that Sinner has developed his game a lot through his games with the Russian who he has dominated in the entire year.
