WATCH: Throwback to Khabib Nurmagomedov jumping over cage to have brawl with Conor McGregor's teammates at UFC 229

Khabib Nurmagomedov had a match with Conor McGregor at the UFC 229. While Khabib dominated Conor in the bout, it was the aftermath of the match for which it will always be remembered. Given the pre-match verbal attacks from Conor, Khabib decided that winning the match wasn't enough and jumped over the cage to have a brawl with his teammates.

Everything started with a tweet from Conor McGregor where he personally attacked Khabib. Conor wrote "That Dagestani was dog sh*t the other night you's are all nuts. Game full of sloppy bums asking to be slept. Pay me my worth and Kings back. Truly truly truly get on your f**king knees and beg me. Otherwise I don't give a bollox. My whiskey is out this year and thats Diddy bread."

During the pre-match conference, Khabib spoke about his focus on the match. McGregor did not show up and Khabib felt disrespected. The Irish fighter further went personal and attacked Khabib's religion and people. Hence, it was evident why Khabib decided to have a brawl.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is regarded to be one of the most calmest fighters. But to get under his skin meant how much Conor's attacks had affected him. Khabib had a brawl with a couple of Conor's teammates. The criticism was on his actions. The star fighter addressed it after his bout.

He was upset with the fact that his brawl was talked about while Conor's attack on his religion, country, father, and people was neglected. Khabib did apologize for his action in the post-match conference. However, he stuck to the fact that he did not commit anything wrong after his bout.

"I don’t understand how people talk about me jumping on the cage? He talked about my religion, he talked about my country, he talked about my father. He broke a bus, he almost killed a couple people," said Khabib. To date, it is regarded to be one of the most talked-about UFC bout. Many felt it changed the sport forever.
