“The excitement around pickleball is contagious and I personally love the sport. I wanted to invest into the World Pickleball League to take the sport to the next level. I couldn’t have found a better partner than Swiggy, where we share the same vision to amplify the popularity and excitement around pickleball," said Pant.

Pickleball's popularity and accessibility for players of all ages make it one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. In the upcoming years, pickleball is expected to become even more popular among Indians as a leisure and lifestyle sport. The World Pickleball League (WPBL), a six-team league co-founded by former Indian tennis players Gaurav Natekar and Arati Ponnappa Natekar, is scheduled to play its first season from January 24 to February 2, 2025.

Rishabh Pant to play Ranji Trophy after long gap

Due to the energetic attitude of Rishabh Pant, the Mumbai Pickle Power team will be a strong contender to win the title. Swiggy will use its wide audience and creative strategy to increase the team's exposure and popularity in the interim.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant is playing for Delhi’s Ranji Trophy game against Saurashtra, taking place in Rajkot. The last time he played in the Ranji Trophy with Delhi was in the 2017/18 season, captaining the team against Vidarbha. He will undoubtedly be important for the visiting team in this match, especially considering his ability to counter-spin on a surface that is predicted to turn from the first.
