Odisha has decided to promote yet another Sports like Hockey. The sports crazy state has unveiled a state of the art Badminton High performance center at Kalinga stadium. It will help the shuttlers to prepare themselves for the big tournaments. Odisha Sports took to social media and posted the images and videos of the new perforamnce center which looks stunning.

The social media post of Odisha sports wrote that the Horizon of its sports is expanding with the state of the art Badminton HPC. "Odisha's sporting horizon is expanding with a state-of-the-art Badminton HPC on the way!" claimed the post on X. With that, some of the images of the new HPC was uploaded.

The HPC is 28.40 meters tall and the work has been completed. Dalmia group collaborated with Odisha Sports and made the dream a reality. The investment for the HPC is around INR 55 crores and the venue will have a capacity of 500. A land of 3.04 acres was provided by the Odisha government.

Features of new Badminton HPC of Odisha

It all started in 2018 when Odisha Sports came up with a joint partnership with Dalmia Bharat and the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Foundation. The foundation stone for the HPC was laid by then Odisha CM, Naveen Patnaik. The entire structure is placed on a cylindrical glass of cork's shape. The tribure video included a honorary segment for Prakash Padukone.

The shape is good for the flow of wind and will help to reduce the pressure from the facade. There are a total of eight courts in the HPC. After Hockey, Badminton is the second sport to have gotten major attention of Odisha. The HPC will feature a gym, a cafeteria, and guest rooms.

The HPC will be under the supervision of Pullela Gopichand. The official handle of Odisha Sports took to X and confirmed the inauguration of the HPC. "Lighting up the future of Badminton! Light testing underway at the soon-to-be-launched Badminton High-Performance Centre," wrote the official handle of Odisha Sports on X. It is yet to be seen when the inauguration takes place.
