All eyes are on the NXT brand as they get ready for their New Year's Evil event at the legendary Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 7, as WWE kicks off 2025 in style. NXT's first major event of the year will be this episode, which airs at 8 p.m. ET on The CW, the network's new home. WWE is really excited to host the event at such a historical location, according to PWInsider.com.
In an effort to ensure that the show lives up to the Shrine's legendary legacy, a number of NXT officials and wrestlers have already been to Los Angeles to finalize the arrangements. Already, it looks like the loaded card will have an effect. Giulia will take on NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez, while NXT Champion Trick Williams will defend his championship against Oba Femi. By winning this year's Iron Survivor Challenges, both challengers qualified for their title shots.
Since switching from the USA Network to The CW in October, NXT has been traveling, and this event carries on that trend. The event's historical setting, the Shrine Expo Hall, has further increased the excitement behind the scenes. WWE is committed to give the brand a new atmosphere as it embarks on its new phase on The CW, as evidenced by their decision to bring NXT to locations like the Shrine. New Year's Evil might be the ideal way to start a spectacular year for the NXT roster, with officials and talent completely committed.
