Her triumph breaks the record she previously had with Hikaru Shida, who was one of just two women in the organization to win the title three times, making her the first-ever four-time AEW Women's Championship champion. May's entrance was met with a lot of jeering.

On the other hand, Luther the Butler, dressed as a theater usher for Timeless Toni Storm's arrival, creating a dramatic and spectacular build-up to her arrival. With the AEW Women's Championship at stake, May faced up against an enraged Storm who made it apparent that this battle was about more than just gold it was about her.

Fans chanted You deserve it after Toni Strom wins the title

Both women gave it their best from the first bell, swapping near falls and hallmark moves in a brawl that left the Brisbane crowd on the edge of their seats. May's rendition of Storm Zero almost defeated Storm, but the former champion persevered. Mariah May attempted to complete the bargain with Mayday, but Storm retaliated, reversed the situation, and unleashed a devastating Storm Zero to complete the contract. Storm suddenly became the third AEW Women's Champion, which sent the fans into a frenzy.

While May remained outside the ring, clearly dejected, chants of "You deserve it" reverberated around the arena as Storm reveled in the triumph. Ever the showman, Storm relished the opportunity to perform for her devoted Australian audience. Storm returned and almost prevailed with Storm Zero. Mariah May performed a surprise Gutwrench suplex after which he repeatedly used Mayday. The storm left just in time. May experienced Storm Zero in her own way. After eluding Mayday, Storm used her final move to pin May and win the title.
