Former WWE Champion Roman Reigns had taken some time off during the pandemic in 2020. Once he was back he changed his entire demeanor and became the Tribal Chief from the Big Dog.

The transition happened during an episode of WWE Smackdown where Roman Reigns was approached by Adam Pearce. Just as the Smackdown General Manager came into the room he was shocked to see Roman Reigns with an unknown figure.

Roman Reigns said, “I will be at Payback this Sunday. That is a promise, I will be in the triple threat match and wreck everyone in the ring and that is a guarantee. And I will win back my universal championship that I never lost in the first place and that is not just a prediction, that’s a spoiler.”

That’s when the camera panned to Paul Heyman who was sitting beside Roman Reigns. The Wiseman as he was anointed later then chimed in and said “Believe That” which was one of the key catchphrases of Roman Reigns.

Bloodline Saga still going strong after 4 years

That partnership between Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman began the biggest storyline in WWE history. Post the alliance between Heyman and Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso joined the fold to make it the biggest group in WWE called The Bloodline.

The group also had Sami Zayn for a while along with Solo Sikoa. The Bloodline imploded in 2023 as Jey Uso quit the group. Following the title loss in WrestleMania 40 to Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns took some time off.

It was at this moment that Solo Sikoa took control of the group and called himself the new Tribal Chief. The group has seen the addition of two new members in the form of Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa.

Roman Reigns made his comeback to WWE during SummerSlam 2024 when he interfered in the match between Solo Sikoa and Cody Rhodes. Even after 4 years, the Bloodline Storyline is still going strong as the fans are kept on the edge of their seats with new twists and turns.

The New Bloodline is expected to face the Original Bloodline perhaps during a future Premium Live Event. Paul Heyman was also thrown out of the group by Solo Sikoa and the Tongans thanks to a brutal beatdown during an episode of WWE Smackdown. Fans are now waiting for the finale of the story as Reigns is expected to take on the Rock during WrestleMania 41 in a blow-off match.
