WATCH: Shelton Benjamin defeats Lio Rush in his AEW in-ring debut

Numerous former WWE Superstars have joined AEW, and many fans were anticipating Bobby Lashley and MVP. Shelton Benjamin was a nice addition to the AEW roster, even though the Almighty hasn't made a comeback to television yet. Since Shelton Benjamin has formally signed with AEW, fans of the AEW may anticipate seeing a lot more of him. Shelton Benjamin defeated Lio Rush on this week's Dynamite, marking his first appearance in the ring for AEW. MVP had planned up the bout during an AEW WrestleDream segment.

When Shelton Benjamin made his debut at the AEW Dynamite on October 2, many fans were taken aback. His in-ring debut was quickly planned, and it happened at the AEW Dynamite on October 16. Shelton Benjamin and MVP made an appearance in the show when MVP gave The Acclaimed his card. They don't appear interested in collaborating with the previous boss of Hurt Business. Shelty's first match with Tony Khan was against Lio Rush. Rush, of course, is also a former WWE Superstar who made it to the All Elite realm.

Although Lio Rush put up a fantastic battle, Shelton Benjamin had an outstanding debut on AEW television. Rush struggled uphill the entire time, even though he was outsized and taller than the other person. Although Rush executed some impressive moves, including as a tornado DDT to defeat Shelton Benjamin, he ultimately defeated Lio Rush.

Shelton Benjamin ended the bout with a clean victory by duplexing Lio Rush and then using an exploder power slam. Shelton Benjamin had a significant debut in AEW, and he did so in a remarkable way. Following the game, MVP gave Lio Rush his business card. Tony Khan, the president of AEW, congratulated Benjamin on his victory on Twitter and announced that the former WWE Intercontinental and U.S. Champion joined the organization.
