On TNA Impact, Joe Hendry had a busy evening. Joe Hendry defeated unexpected opponents twice in two separate battles to defend the TNA World Championship. Santino Marella was supposed to present Hendry's main event opponent. The announcement was cut short by Ryan Nemeth, who made his announcement.
He asserted that Ryan was authorized to use his contractually required championship rematch by Nic Nemeth, who would return from suspension at Sacrifice on March 14. Ryan's choice was approved by Santino. A few moments later, Ryan walked to the ring.
To win a squash match, Hendry dodged a blow and struck the Standing Ovation slam. Hendry didn't exert himself at all. That match left Santino feeling let down, so he respectfully requested that Hendry wrestle again. The winner, Joe Hendry, didn't think twice about taking on everyone. Santino introduced Alexander Hammerstone, his first opponent.

Alexander Hammerstone had his last match on TNA Impact
This was the last match of Alexander Hammerstone, whose contract with TNA was ending. As the match started, he pumped up to give Joe Hendry a motivating suplex. Hendry also hit Hammerman with a powerful fallaway slam. Hendry endured some beatings from Hammerstone, but he never gave up and continued to fight, even reversing a Nightmare Pendulum attempt and down Hammerstone with the Stalling Suplex with the support of the audience.
Hammerstone hauled Hendry across the ring and then delivered a power slam for two after Hendry failed to follow up on his stunning Fallaway Slam. Joe Hendry had to reach the ropes to force the break after Hammerstone used a Powerbomb and a German Suplex before turning that into a Boston Crab. Hendry successfully flung and slammed the large man after thwarting another attempt at a Nightmare Pendulum. After receiving a Standing Ovation, he kept the championship and pinned him to win the match.
