New Controversy in WWE? Man, files lawsuit for non-payment of money

Man files lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment for non-payment of money for his services as he makes startling allegations against the Wrestling giant.

After the Janel Grant and Bryan Danielson controversy, there is a new lawsuit against WWE. One man named Leland Owens on 3rd September filed a lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment. Mr. Owens has alleged that the wrestling company didn’t pay him. 

The details in the lawsuit read “I gave the WWE ideas and never got paid. I also told Daniel Bryan (at the time what I was going to do with my earnings with said ideas and World Wrestling Entertainment tried to get in front of it because Vince thinks of this as competition. We have a verbal agreement which was supposed to talk about at the time I receive my payment for my ideas”

According to the lawsuit, it was Mr. Owens who had helped WWE with the name for Stomping Grounds. The premium live event was held in 2019 in Washington. Apart from this, the claimant has also filed an additional lawsuit against the company. WWE for their part are yet to respond to these claims made by Leland Owens.

Bryan Danielson reveals getting legal letter from WWE 

Current AEW champion Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan in WWE) revealed that he had got a legal letter from the Stamford-based company. Bryan Danielson was a guest on the Luke James Chat podcast where he revealed that WWE had sent Bryan a notice for the ‘Yes’ Chants. 

Bryan Danielson said “Well, so, it’s weird. I applied for it, but then I got – it wasn’t necessarily a cease and desist, I got some sort of legal letter from WWE. it’s really weird because my manager just texted me and said like, ‘Hey, this thing is available. Do you want to get it?’ And I was like, ‘How much does it cost?”

The former WWE star also said “And it wasn’t that much. And I was like, ‘Ok, sure.’ And then shortly after that I got an email from WWE saying like, ‘Oh, this is infringing on this or that or whatever.’ And I’m like, ‘Dude, I’m not trying to sell anybody anything.’ Yeah, I just do my thing.”
