Matt Cardona edited the image of Chelsea Green, and his United States Championship wins and posted it on his social media handles. The real-life partners became the first male-female pair wrestlers to win the US title. Cardona aka Zack Ryder described his relationship with Green with the caption "Then. Now. Forever. Together," for his post on social media.
Matt Cardona and Green had different career paths in Wrestling. While Cardona was known as Zack Ryder when he was in WWE in the PG Era, he could not achieve much despite a lot of potential. Cardona hence made a move to different companies like ROH and TNA. He is currently a part of the latter as one of the top wrestlers.
On the other hand, Green had a terrific debut in Lucha Underground and made a move to ROH where she met Cardona. She then made a move to WWE NXT before getting a main roster callup. The duo dated each other in 2017, got to know well, and got married in 2021.
Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green's United States Championship story
When Cardona was in WWE, he had a story with Edge. He was a good mid-carder and won the United States Championship. While many felt he had a huge potential to be a good champion and even be a main event star, Ryder's character could not make use of the momentum.
While he was released by WWE leading his way to different companies, Green had an opposite journey. She worked in different companies before making it to WWE. After putting in hard yards in 2024, Chelsea won the Women's US Title qualifier and faced Michin in the final.
The star wrestler scripted history by becoming the inaugural Women's United States Champion. Cardona took to X, Instagram, and other social media platforms and posted the edited image of his US Title from the WWE days along with the current image of Green as the Women's US Champion. Fans reacted to the post and were impressed by the edit.
