WATCH: Jinder Mahal and Satnam Singh make India proud by winning AAA tag team championship in GCW

Raj Dhesi, known by the ring name of Jinder Mahal in WWE, has won the AAA Tag team championship with the AEW star and an Indian wrestler named Satnam Singh in GCW. After making his debut a few weeks ago, Raj has taken the Mexican Wrestling promotion on storm. With the help of Satnam, Dhesi won the second title since his debut on GCW.

Jinder Mahal won the Black Label Pro Championship by beating Kevin Ku in July. The duo of Satnam and Raj beat the former champions Negro Casas and Psycho Clown and the likes of Dr. Wagner Jr. and Geleno Del Mal in a triple-threat tag team match. The duo of Satnam Singh and Raj got a bit of assistance from Jeff Jarret who used guitar to their advantage.

it is worth noting that the AAA tag team title was the first-ever title won by Satnam Singh since he made his debut in Wrestling in 2017. Despite being on AEW for a long time, the tall wrestler had not won a title. Singh has featured in some of the top segments of AEW with the likes of the Elite. But it happened to be his first moment of glory.

Jinder Mahal has no regret for getting released by WWE

Jinder was released by WWE in April just a few days after WrestleMania XL. Earlier this year, he competed for the world title against Seth Rollins on Raw. It was during the match that the visionary sustained his knee injury. Despite putting on a decent show, Jinder could not win the title. But he was not even given care by Triple H and Co releasing him ahead of the WWE Draft 2024.

But Dhesi did not show any disappointment. In one of the recent interviews, he claimed it was a good opportunity for the likes of Bron Breakker and Carmelo Hayes to make a name for themselves in the main roster like Raw and Smackdown. Mahal said he expected to get released as there was no leverage provided even after getting a shot at the world title.
